Keying Information

If you want your new hardware to work with your existing key, you must match two things:

  1. Key cylinder type
    Key cylinder types are not interchangeable. For example, a Schlage C key will not work in a Weiser WR5 cylinder.
  2. Key code
    Even if the cylinder type matches, the key code must also match for the key to work.

If you are unsure of your key type or code, we recommend taking your key to a locksmith or key copy center for identification.

Keying Options

  • Keyed Alike – All sets ordered together will operate with the same key.
  • Keyed Different – Each set ordered together will operate with its own unique key.
